Dr Abdul Malik appeals to Taliban not to attack relief caravans

ISLAMABAD, September 28 (Online): Chief Minister Balochistan Dr Abdul Malik has appealed to Taliban in Awaran not to attack caravans carrying relief goods for earth quake affectees.

Talking to a private TV channel here he said “ Awaran is stronghold of Taliban. I appeal to Taliban not to attack caravans carrying relief goods and not to harm rescue teams.

He went on to say that Balochistan had been adversely affected by earthquake. A large portion of population has been destroyed. Damage caused by disaster is beyond estimation, he added.

He appealed to people of Pakistan and philanthropists to extend help generously to the quake affectees. Provincial government will spend every penny honestly, he held.

He said federal government has also set up special fund for quake affected people which is a good thing.

He indicated that Balochistan cabinet will be completed in coming weeks. “ I will implement all the decisions of APC for establishment of peace in Balochistan”, he declared.

Dialogue process is underway with the estranged Balochs for the sake of peace in Balochistan. The external interference has caused harm to Balochistan and such interference is still continuing.

“I will establish writ of government in the entire province of Balochistan. The erstwhile governments comprised Sardars and Nawabs who did not pay full heed to the development of Balochistan and due to which the province has reached this plight ”, he underlined
