PESHAWAR, Sept 14 (Online): Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has said that we cannot survive without justice, if we keep the flame of justice alive it would solve our problems and would ensure rule of law.
He expressed these views during his speech in the inauguration ceremony of Human Rights directorates established in Peshawar High Court (PHC) here on Saturday.
Justice in Islam is considered to be an attribute of God and the administration of Justice, as the performance of a religious duty, he said.
He appraised the efforts of PHC for establishment of human rights directorate, adding the directorate would be very useful and important to improve the state of human rights.
“I am sure the nefarious designs to destabilize our country cannot see the light of the day if the justice is being delivered to the peopleâ€, Iftikhar Chaudhry said.
CJ mentioned that Supreme Court of Pakistan’s human rights cell disposed of 46,287 complaints from September 2012 to 2013.
