Islamabad, October 06 (Online): Not only does cold weather makes people lazy but it affects the body's joints too, a new study report said on Sunday.
Studies show that four out of 10 adults travel to sunnier places as they feel that extreme cold is bad for their health.
A poll was conducted by joint health brand Regenovex on 1,000 people aged 35 to 75 - all with joint health problems.
They were questioned about their experiences with weather-related joint issues. Almost 72 per cent of respondents said they suffered more from joint problems such as discomfort and stiffness because of the weather.
"Joint discomfort and joint health issues are a huge problem in the UK with millions of us struggling in silence," femalefirst.com quoted independent nutritionist Emma Derbyshire as saying.
The survey also revealed that the knees are the most affected by cold weather, followed by back, fingers, hips, hands and neck.
